Because of the approaching hurricane in the Gulf, Bush might miss his speech at the RNC. It's a measure of the mistrust that this man has sewn into the very fabric of America that I think he's even bullshitting about this. Hell, Katrina didn't stop him from missing his appointed rounds - why should Gustav, thought to be weaker, hold him up?

Wait, what's that? McCain may not want the most unpopular president since Nixon to speak on the first night of his convention after all?

  • WOW.

  • Karl Rove complains that some guys just have all the luck:
"The Republicans can't seem to get a break when it comes to August and when it comes to the weather," said Rove, a FOX News analyst. "I know this is being thought a lot about in Washington and at the White House and discussed and I suspect they will monitor it carefully and figure out what to do."

Even Fox News couldn't cover that up. People like this are not incorrect. Or wrong. Or sick. They're just evil.
