The Matthew 25 Network is airing the following radio ad, of all places, in James Dobson's hometown of Colorado Springs:

From Matthew 25:
37 Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?

38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you?

39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'

40 The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'

Dobson and his flock might do well to remember these words this election season.

Obama has told us he's a Christian in heart and mind, and he's shown his faith through his works. It's not a reason I'm supporting him, per se, but it does fill me up with gladness that a man of true faith - not this pretender in office today that think God advised him to wage war on Iraq, where thousands of Christians are now being slaughtered - is a contender for the White House.

Folks forget sometimes that "amen", loosely translated, means "truth" or "verily". That said, this ad merits confirmation with a loud "Amen!"

And David Brody of the CBN is quite impressed:
I think the ad is EXTREMELY strong.

It stays away from public policy and really focuses in his personal commitment to Christ. That is a type of message that Evangelicals will want to hear.

The flip side here is that another group may start running radio spots on Christian radio detailing Obama's liberal positions on issues which may conflict with some Evangelicals.

But look, you have to give this group credit for believing that they have a faithful message with Obama and they are not shy about promoting it. Plus, you won't find any John McCain radio spots on Christian radio right now. Man, how the tables have turned.
